The world record Smallmouth Bass was caught by David Lee Hayes on July 9th, 1955.
David's huge bass weighed 11 pounds 15 ounces. He caught it in Dale Hollow Lake in Kentucky state waters, while trolling a 600 Series Pearl Bomber Diving Plug.

The Fishermen's Conservation Association's FCA Manhattan Cup Striped Bass Fishing Tournament is held every year in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty and within viewof the skyscrapers of Manhattan, NY.
This fisherman caught a double header when two striped bass hit 2 of the 5 lures on a umbrella rig he was trolling - two 37 inch stripers.
